Yes, we are one of only a few businesses in Scotland that have a drying floor kiln, we can get the moisture content average very low, We sell with a normal average of around 17% MC. Please look on the internet about the reasons for not burning / buying wet wood.

Yes, unlike others with delivery trucks or larger Hi-Abs we have a small flatbed truck which can take up to 4 jumbo bags at a time. It can get into just about all driveways and we swing the bags off to the passenger side. It is then over to you. We can normally arrange a delivery time to suite too.

No! It simply swings the bags off the truck.

We can deliver for free if you take 2 jumbo bags or more in one go and are within our delivery area as per the map. Roughly 20 mile radius of G83 8RB. If in doubt call us.

We cut to lengths of 8 inches and split 6 ways. These fit great into smaller stoves. This creates smaller log wedges which means you get more quantity in the bag. It also ensures drier wood which increases energy heat output. Larger logs leave more air gaps in the bag which means you get less wood. 

We understand that some customers wish to sacrifice heat output and quantity for cosmetic reasons so we can arrange to cut  to specific sizes by request. Please call if this applies to you.

You will find that the smaller pieces of wood jiggle to the bottom of the bag. This is normal. This wood is great for starting the fire. It is all energy!

No! Sometimes it has a bit of dirt / dust on the outside. It costs money to wash wood and no overall benefit.

We have a de-barking appliance which separates some of the loose material. It is by no way 100% so expect bark and smaller pieces of wood. The dry bark burns same as the wood.

It is mixed as it depends on what windfall we have been able to purchase over the previous seasons. Usually Scottish species.

No, we sell locally sourced wood as energy for the best prices per heat output. Moving wood about incurs great cost which is why we keep everything as local as can be.

Yes, please come and visit us and see how we process and dry the wood, we will then give you a small free sample to try.

Yes, the barrow bags fit perfectly into the back of most vehicles, you will get two barrow bags into most cars with rear seats down. we have a farm office on site which keeps a small stock. If you want to pick up a large Jumbo bag it will fit onto the back of most pick up trucks or into small trailers. Please arrange in advance to ensure someone is on hand to assist loading.

Either pay the driver cash on delivery or you can pay by BACS or card over the phone.

Yes, just make sure instructions are specific as jumbo bags are hard to pull about.
